The “Nullify Obamacare” event held last night at Pillar in the Valley, in Chesterfield, Missouri, was very well attended and very informative. Senator Brian Nieves (R) was the moderator. The speakers were 2nd Congressional District candidate Ed Martin (R), Missouri Gubernatorial candidate Bill Randles (R), State Senator Jim Lembke (R), and State Representative Paul Curtman (R).
Each participant made an opening statement and then took questions from the audience regarding the effort to nullify the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (also known as OBAMACARE) in the state of Missouri. Each panelist had something unique to add to the discussion.
Nullification is a tool, not a “thing” like a piece of legislation. Recommended articles can be found here and here, at the Tenth Amendment Center’s website, the organization which hosted the “Nullify Now!” conference in Kansas City not long ago. We met Dr. Tom Woods there, and he writes about the topic frequently.
For many of the attendees, including myself, it was our first opportunity to see, hear and meet, Bill Randles and his wife. Food and drink was kindly offered by many of the activists who organized, a great time was had by all. If you missed it, you can only blame yourself.
Next time check the calendar, right here at www.iheardthepeoplesay.org. Don’t miss the next big event. See you there!
