*FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS*
- How can I personally make a difference? Everyone has something to give, and freedom is an extremely worthwhile cause. If you can help a Constitution-loving candidate with his campaign for 2 hours a week, you’re making a huge difference. If you can donate even $10 per month to that candidate, it’s amazing how much it helps. If you commit to attending your district’s School Board meetings every month, a watching public assures much greater accountability! One of the very best action points is get your friends and family involved, whether it’s at the polls or strengthening grassroots groups with time, talents and treasure!
- Will you add my group’s event to the Calendar? We are happy to do so! If you request an event to be added more than once, we ask that you learn how to add them yourself to help us in turn.
- Is my donation tax deductible? IHTPS will be relinquishing our tax-free status at the end of this year, since it’s more important for you to donate your resources to the candidates for upcoming elections!
- Can I write something for your blog? We welcome all writers to give as many voices to the movement as possible. Current contributors are listed on the “About Us” page. Email us something you’ve written to discuss the possibility of regular submissions.
- Will you add our group to “Find a Group Near You” page? Yes, but we ask that you have an established website for your organization. If you do not, please email us for other options.
- Why don’t you work with all tea party groups? Tea parties are something we do, not who we are. We are constantly collaborating with other grassroots groups and leaders, while respecting each group’s autonomy. We are particularly interested in groups who have real goals and are accomplishing something. Regular rallies and Facebook discussions are great, but there is a lot of work to do and specific, defined goals are the key.
- Why did the BBC refer to Annette Read as an “economic conservative and social liberal” in an interview aired on 1/20/10? Interviews aren’t always easy and Annette misspoke. To clarify, preserving the U.S. Constitution is the primary goal of this organization. Representatives of I Heard The People Say believe in natural rights (specifically, life at conception) and everything else contained in the original document.
